To reinforce Shanghai General Hospital (SGH)’s leading role in clinical study, the digital service team needs to provide better features and resources for physicians' research.
I led the revamp of the medical news feature from user research to launch. The redesign gave physicians everyday inspiration that is most relevant to their disciplinary interest, thus keeping their research topics stay on top of the trend.

Early discovery
Physicians selected the “Latest Research” news as one of the most important content, but ironically, it lacked user engagement.

Wireframe
Physicians’ schedule and habit inspired me to consider different focus of use on various devices
I started by sketching, then iterated and tested a few wireframes and landed on the following Low-Fi prototype with content components and information structures that users felt satisfied with.
Iteration: Browsing Medical Specialty
Primary care doctors loved that the initial carousel design help them explore various disciplines, but specialists need to access their focused area more efficiently.
Wireframe: Medical Specialties
The final version proposed 2 interaction modes to satisfy 2 distinct information-seeking needs.
I added a modal that pops up and displays all disciplines at once to help specialists go straight to a specific medical specialty
Final Version : Medical Specialties
